On the 5th of April 2022, Plast Scouts from London, along with representatives of many other Ukrainian organizations, had an opportunity to meet with Boris Johnson, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.

Oksana Litynska, head of the Plast National Council of the United Kingdom, scouts Arthur Fedyniak and Adrian Smondyliak gave a presentation about Plast Scouts and described how they have been helping Ukraine. They sincerely thanked the Prime Minister for supporting our nation during these difficult times.

They awarded him with symbolic gifts including a book about the history of Plast, “Plast Ukrainian Scouting: A Unique Story” by Orest Subtelny and a medal from the village of New York, in the Donetsk Region, in commemoration of a “marathon, where no one wanted to run”. This gift was given the hope that someday we will be free to run there again, and Boris Johnson wished for our success in this endeavor.
